Judy Maggio Set to Retire From KEYE

judy maggioAfter 11 years at KEYE and 22 more on television in Austin, Judy Maggio has announced she will retire in May, Austin360 reports.

“I’ve always said I’d leave the TV business on my own terms,” Maggio said. “KEYE has been nothing but supportive in my 11 years here and recently offered me a generous contract to stay. I will deeply miss my colleagues, who are some of the most dedicated people in the business.”

Maggio joined CBS affiliate KEYE in 2003 from rival KVUE. A search is underway for her replacement as the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. anchor.
