Jon Hitchcock is joining Hartford, Conn., FOX affiliate WTIC and CW affiliate WCCT as vice president and general manager, Tribune announced today.
“Jon is the perfect fit for these stations, as well as the Hartford and New Haven communities,” said Lynda King, chief operating officer of broadcast media. “We look forward to his leadership and commitment to our employees, partners and viewers.”
Hitchcock was previously president and general manager at CBS-owned station KYW and CW affiliate WPSG in Philadelphia.
“I’m thrilled to join Tribune Media and have the opportunity to return to my home state of Connecticut,” said Hitchcock. “FoxCT, WCCT and their digital assets have an outstanding position in the marketplace. I’m eager to help build upon their value with a great team of professionals.”
Hitchcock begins his new role on April 6.
