Jim Blue Out at WNWO, ‘It’s a Little Complicated’

By Kevin Eck

WNWO anchor Jim Blue is no longer with the Toledo, Ohio, NBC affiliate.

“It’s a little complicated,” Blue told the Toledo Blade. “But I’m not there. You won’t see me on the news.”

Blue co-anchored the station’s evening newscasts, now from 5 to 6:30 and 11-11:30, with Laura Emerson, who returned to the Toledo market in August, 2014, and before that Angi Gonzalez, who’s no longer at the station.

Blue also worked as a Channel 24 anchor in the 2000s, during the station’s most competitive ratings period.

When his contract was not renewed in 2008, Blue left for Fox affiliate WFFT-TV in Fort Wayne as news director-anchor, before rejoining WNWO on Jan. 21, 2013.
