Longtime KWWL meteorologist Jeff Kennedy signed off the Waterloo, IA, NBC affiliate Tuesday night.
In November, Kennedy announced he was leaving the station. KWWL said Kennedy was eastern Iowa’s longest-serving meteorologist.
On Tuesday’s 10:00 p.m. show Kennedy said, “In a couple of minutes I’m walking out the door and I ain’t coming back.”

“Jeff Kennedy on behalf of your thousands of loyal viewers and everyone here at KWWL,” anchor Ron Steele said in a taped piece after showing a short highlight reel of Kennedy’s work through the years. “We say thank you for your loyalty and your professionalism and we wish you Jolene, Cameron and Charles all the very best.”
