Javier Ortiz Joins Telemundo Station Group as VP of Human Resources

telemundo logoJavier I. Ortiz has been named vice president of human resources at Telemundo Station Group, overseeing all HR functions for the 17 Telemundo-owned stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

“Javier’s experience in Spanish-language television and his first-hand knowledge of our stations make him the right person to lead our human resources team,” Telemundo Station Group president Manuel Martinez said in a statement. “Under his leadership, I know we will recruit the best talent to our stations as we grow and expand, and maintain and motivate our already strong workforce.”

Ortiz has worked at Telemundo since 2007. Most recently, he was the director of human resources for Telemundo Networks, where he worked with the news, alternative programming, sports and programming groups. Before that, he was the director of human resources for organization and staffing.
