James Brown: My First Big Break

Early in his career, CBS Sports NFL studio host James Brown worked at Washington, D.C. CBS affiliate WUSA when it was known as WDVM. Brown credits the producers there with making him a broadcaster.

The hard working TV host was just starting his day as fill-in anchor of the CBS Evening News when he told MediabistroTV about an early failure in his life that eventually created his success. Watch his story to hear why.

Even with the occasional on-air fumble along the way, Brown told us, “I still work just as hard now, if not harder, as I did back then getting started.”

Beginning tomorrow, Brown adds hosting NFL Thursday Night Kickoff to his CBS schedule.
