Anchor Jacqueline Matter, who left Greenville, N.C. CBS station WNCT in October, has announced she’s moving to Sarasota ABC affiliate WWSB.
Matter will co-anchor the station’s morning newscast. “I’m so excited and honored to have this opportunity,” Matter wrote in a post on Instagram. “North Carolina will forever have a special place in my heart and I thank all of you who helped me tell the stories of our community, the phenomenal people who live here and most importantly, the lifelong friends I’ve made who have helped me discover who I am as a journalist and individual.”
Matter, Miss North Carolina International 2016, moves to Florida next week.
