Jacksonville Photog Attacked Covering Beach Violence

A photographer at Jacksonville CBS affiliate WJAX was injured in an incident while covering a weekend shooting at Jacksonville Beach. “I was completely blindsided” said longtime photog Robert Jackson. “Apparently the kid jumped on me and punched me in the back of the neck.” Jackson has cuts and bruises, and the station reports a suspect has been arrested.

Jackson and reporter Katie McKee were at the beach Tuesday when they saw people fighting; Jackson took his GoPro and started recording video. “When I got enough video, I was walking back to the truck and the next thing I know, I felt somebody slug me,” Jackson said.
