Indianapolis anchor Phil Sanchez got a chance to see just how hard it is for police to decide whether to shoot or not shoot.
Houston’s KHOU did something similar in February. The Houston CBS affiliate used a community activist to show the difficulty in facing an armed threat. WISH went with a reporter.
Sanchez went to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Academy to get schooled by IMPD vet Jeff Patterson. They did an exercise where Sanchez had to decide whether a suspect was enough of a threat to shoot or not. Check out the video to see what happens.
