Local TV channel ABC 7 will debut a new anchor Thursday to replace longtime anchor Heidi Godman who left the station recently after 22 years.
Lauren Dorsett, a California native who most recently worked on air in Tallahassee, starts Thursday on the anchor desk at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., and will co-anchor the 6 p.m. flagship show with veteran TV personality Scott Dennis.

Dorsett “is a proven journalist who will continue to bring Suncoast viewers the high level of professionalism they expect,” said WWSB News Director Jason Wildenstein in a news release. More…
