In Fort Myers, WZVN-WBBH Shuffles Weather Roster

By Andrew Gauthier

Meteorologist Jim Reif (right), who has been on the air in southwest Florida since 1979, will no longer be seen on WZVN’s evening newscasts.

As part of a shuffling of the weather lineup at sister stations WZVN (ABC) and WBBH (NBC), first reported by The News-Press, Reif will move from WZVN’s 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts to the 11 a.m. and noon newscasts at WBBH.

The move comes as Haley Webb, who was recently named weather chief of WZVN-WBBH, returns from maternity leave. She will handle WBBH’s 5, 5:30, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts while meteorologist John Patrick succeeds Reif at WZVN’s evening slots.

The shakeup, which essentially began in December when veteran Robert Van Winkle took over mornings for Webb, also has Allyson Rae moving from weekend mornings on WBBH to weekday mornings on WZVN.
