“Good Day Philadelphia” anchor Mike Jerrick braved the staged elements to recreate an iconic scene from the movie “Flashdance” to honor the 30th anniversary of the movie’s release.
The scene chosen was the one where Jennifer Beals‘ character in the movie sits on a chair and pulls a lever to release gallons of water in a cascade of sexiness.
According to the WTXF website, Jerrick’s co-anchor Karen Hepp was supposed to be the one under the water, but she was under the weather instead.
“We may have overdone it with the water,” said the anchor for the Philadelphia FOX owned station while returning to the morning show set. “We didn’t need that much water.”
