Here’s a Look at the Dallas Social Numbers

Dallas Fox-owned station KDFW extended its lead in share in the market over the last 30 days, according to data from Share Rocket.

KDFW had a 42.1 share, TEGNA’s ABC affiliate WFAA had a 24.7 share, NBC-owned KXAS had a 19 share, CBS-owned KTVT had an 8.2 Share. Spanish-language stations Univision affiliate KUVN and Telemundo KXTX both gained in share over the same time period, with KUVN jumping over KXTX into fifth place overall in the market.

KDFW’s combined Facebook pages had about 900,000 more total engagements than next closest station (WFAA) over the last 30 days. KDFW leads WFAA by about 500,000 followers in overall audience on Facebook, with most of that lead coming from KDFW’s main station page. KXAS’s main station page recently became the second-largest Facebook page in the market with 665,933 followers after growing its overall Facebook audience by the highest percentage in the market 3.7 percent. No other station grew its total Facebook audience by more than 2 percent.

WFAA was the Dallas Twitter leader during the 30-day period with a 30.6 share, outpacing KDFW’s 29.6. WFAA benefitted from having the top two individuals in the market on Twitter during the time period, meteorologist Pete Delkus (5.4 Share) and sportscaster Mike Leslie (2.8 share).
