WGN anchor Paul Konrad says he wouldn’t change a thing after a visit by CNN’s Bill Weir.
Weir and Konrad started at WGN around the same time in 1996 and Konrad made a chart to show the trajectory of their careers.
Konrad made the joke that as Weir got to work with people like Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters, he got to host a Botanical Garden show and saw increased hours at the anchor desk.
But Konrad didn’t want viewers to think he wasn’t happy about how things worked out.
“In spite of my never ending complaining about WGN TV…because of my coworkers,” Konrad wrote on Facebook. “This place has been a dream for me to work.”
