‘Good Day L.A.’ Anchor Dances During News Headlines

By Mark Joyella

4410015_GIn the immortal words of my very first news director, Mike Moran, at KJCT in Grand Junction: “always act as if the mic is hot.”

And in the studio, it’s wise to remember that every camera is pretty much always on. Those producers–those irritating, annoying producers–can take any camera at any time. Like, say, if you’re waiting at the weather wall while your fellow anchors read headlines, and, say, you pop in the earbuds and bust a few moves. Like that. That could get your camera popped up–and a moment of viral video perfection is born.

Here’s what we know: KTTV Los Angeles’ “Good Day L.A.” anchor Araksya Karapetyan has moves. Many, many moves. And they were put on display during GDLA on the Fox owned station Wednesday:

The only other thing I’ll say is this: GDLA’s Steve Edwards is just the best. The best. And if you don’t agree with me, bring it. Let’s fight it out in comments or on Twitter.
