WPIX vice president and general manager Eric Meyrowitz is out at Tribune’s CW affiliate in New York City. A station spokesperson confirms to TVSpy that Meyrowitz’s departure was announced this morning by Tribune local broadcasting president Larry Wert.
News of Meyrowitz’s departure was first reported by TunedIn’s Jerry Barmash.
Meyrowitz has been at the helm of WPIX for three years, moving to New York in 2011 from WDCW in Washington, D.C. A replacement has yet to be named at WPIX, according to a station spokesperson.
