Fox TV Stations Signs 30-Minute News Show

By Kevin Eck

Fox Television Stations has picked up a 30 minute news highlight show called Top 30.

Top 30 is a self-contained show where the commercials air in an on-screen show-branded player that counts down to the next segment. The show features the top 30 news stories of the day with an average segment length of two minutes and a commercial break length of 30 seconds.

“This show is perfect for the stations that don’t have a national news voice,” said Stephen Brown evp of Programming and Development. “The bite-sized segments with lower third graphics play well on air and on our affiliates’ digital platforms. Give us 30 minutes, and we’ll get you up to date with everything you need to know each day. That’s our promise.”
