Fox Stations Extend MyNetworkTV Through 2016

Fox Television Stations has announced an extension of MyNetworkTV programming through 2016. MyNetworkTV airs on Fox-owned stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington D.C., Houston, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Orlando and Charlotte.

“The consistency of MyNetworkTV’s successful brand-name lineup is extremely advertiser friendly. From a sell-point, the MyNetworkTV stations continue to deliver in the key demos of A18-49 and A25-54 and performed quite well last year,” Jim Burke, president of sales at Fox Television Stations, said in a statement.

MyNetworkTV kicks off its 2013-14 season on September 30. The full schedule is in Fox’s official announcement after the jump.

FOX TV STATIONS EXTENDS MYNETWORKTV THROUGH 2016

MYNETWORKTV RANKS #8 IN A18-49 AND A25-54

AMONG ALL BROADCAST AND CABLE NETWORKS

NEW YORK – FOX Television Stations extends the MyNetworkTV programming service for an additional two years, through the 2015-16 season, announced Greg Meidel, President of Twentieth Television.

MyNetworkTV, with programming Monday through Friday, airs on the FOX Television Stations in each of the top 3 markets including New York (WWOR My9), Los Angeles (KCOP My 13), and Chicago (WPWR My 50). Additional markets include Dallas (KDFI My27), D.C.  (WDCA My20), Houston (KTXH My20), Phoenix (KUTP My45), Minneapolis (WFTC My29), Orlando (WRBW My65), and Charlotte (WMYT MyTV12).

In making the announcement, Meidel stated:  “The new schedule further elevates MyNetworkTV as destination programming for viewers, station partners and the advertising community. We are thrilled that the FOX Television Stations will continue to share a primetime slate of well-established and compelling procedurals featuring television’s most dynamic characters and story lines.”

The 2013-14 schedule of MyNetworkTV launches on September 30th and includes the addition of the hit FOX series, “Bones” and the return of “Law & Order: CI.” Back-to-back episodes of “Law & Order: SVU” air each Monday night and a two-hour block of the award-winning series “House” on Thursday and “Monk” on Friday nights.

“Law & Order: SVU” returns for a third season, having grown Monday Night by +5% in HHs (2.3 vs. 2.2) and +3% in Total Viewers this season (3.4 mill. vs. 3.3 mill.). Monk returns for a fourth season, having grown on Friday Night each season since it began on MyNetworkTV, by a total of +13% in HHs (1.8 vs. 1.7 vs. 1.6) and +12% in Total Viewers (2.8 mill vs. 2.7 mill vs. 2.5 mill).

Frank Cicha, SVP, Programming, FOX Television Stations added: “Going with consistent programs for 52 weeks a year has worked out tremendously well for our stations.  It’s increased our programming options, while offering real value to distributors.  This year, we’re going with our strongest lineup yet.”
