FOX 61 Adds 2 New General Assignment Reporters

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

FOX 61 in Hartford, Connecticut is adding two hometown reporters.

Margaux Farrell and Carmen Chau will join the Tribune-owned station as general assignment reporters this month. This is a homecoming for both reporters.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome two more Connecticut raised reporters to our exceptional news team. Both Margaux and Carmen grew up watching FOX61 and now have the opportunity to deliver the news that is important to our Connecticut communities”, said Liz Grey Goudbout, WTIC vp and news director.

“I can’t believe that I’m going back to CT after all of these years living so far away from home,” Margaux told viewers on Facebook. “I’m so fortunate for the opportunities that my West Texas Fox Family gave me because none of this would have been possible if I didn’t take that first job back in Abilene a year and a half ago.”

Margaux was a producer/anchor for KXVA-KIDY in Abilene, Texas.  She produced and anchored the station’s morning show, Wake Up West Texas. And in a clip on the station’s website her co-anchor said, “No one is as hard a worker on or off air as Margaux.”

Carmen also broke the news on Facebook. She told WTEM-WXXA viewers in Albany, N.Y. that she will continue to report for the nightside newscasts until April 14th. “I thank everyone who’s welcomed me into their homes during those late nights to watch our newscasts.”

Farrell starts on April 10th, Chau on April 24th.
