Former local news producer Matt Null died Monday in Barcelona.
Our sister site TVNewser reports Null, who was a senior producer of CNN’s Early Start, was on vacation with friends when he died.
Null was remembered as a hard worker and an exceptional producer who was “literally the voice in our head every morning when terrible things happen in the world,” Early Start anchor Christine Romans told viwers.

In 2012, he left his job as an ep at KRON in San Francisco to work at Fox News Channel as a producer for On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.
He also worked at WSVN in Miami, WFTS in Tampa and WKBN in Youngstown, Ohio.
