Longtime KVOA sportscaster Dan Ryan has died
The station said in a statement, “Dan’s contribution to our local sports heritage landed him in the Pima County Sports Hall of Fame in 2011. We’re proud of his legacy and we’ll miss the man who brought us so many wonderful moments on-air and off.”
Ryan came to the Tucson NBC affiliate in 1987. He started his career at KOB in Albuquerque, N.M. He retired from KVOA in 2007.

The Arizona Daily Star reports former sportscaster Pete Delgado who worked with Ryan, said in a facebook post, “We made each other laugh and swapped many stories in that sports office. We talked about life most of all and not that much about sports. I miss those times.”
