Peggy Bunker is joining KNTV, the NBC owned station in San Francisco. In her new role, Bunker will anchor the 11 a.m. newscast, as well as serving as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for the station’s morning newscast.
“We’re happy to have a journalist of Peggy’s caliber joining our newsroom. She brings with her a wealth of experience at both the local and national news levels,” KNTV vice president of news Jonathan Mitchell said in a statement.

SAN JOSE, CA – December 3, 2013 – NBC Bay Area announced today that Peggy Bunker will be joining the station as anchor/reporter starting on December 4. Bunker will anchor the stations midday newscast, NBC Bay Area News at 11 AM. In addition, she will serve as General Assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for Today in The Bay, NBC Bay Area’s morning newscast.
Bunker’s career in television has taken her coast-to-coast covering news and entertainment in a variety of roles. She has anchored a number of morning newscasts across the country including “World News Now” and “America This Morning” for ABC News in New York, “Good Day Colorado” at FOX’s KDVR in Denver, and she was one of the original anchors for the nationally broadcast morning show, “The Daily Buzz” in L.A.
Most recently Bunker anchored morning and 11 AM news at KOMO4 in Seattle, WA where she received the 2012 National Gracie award for her reporting.

Bunker is a native of Seattle, WA with a degree in English Literature from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
