One of the stories the Denver stations are following today is the story of Jessica Ghawi, an aspiring sportscaster who was killed in this morning’s Colorado movie theater shooting.
Ghawi, who used the name Jessica Redfield, was a former intern at KDVR, according to the Fox-affiliate’s live blog. She was a sports blogger for Busted Coverage who also kept a blog of her own. The chilling last entry was an account of her experience narrowly avoiding another mass shooting at the Eaton Center in Toronto last month:

I was reminded that we don’t know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath.
