Former KARE Anchor Passes Away

Gil Amundson, a veteran Twin Cities television reporter and anchorman, died Monday of heart failure. He was 82.

“He thought being in television was so much fun,” said his wife, Shirley Amundson. “Whenever someone griped about their job he would say, ‘You are in television, what could be more fun than that?’ “
