Farrah Reyna to Join WDSU as Weekend AM Anchor

By Kevin Eck

Farrah Reyna has been named weekend morning anchor at New Orleans NBC affiliate WDSU.

Reyna comes from KALB in Alexandria, La. where she is 10 p.m. anchor and promotions manager. She started her career as a morning show producer at KALB and left broadcasting for a time to work in public relations before coming back to KALB.

She replaces Latonya Norton who recently said she was “moving on to another chapter in her life, one filled with new challenges.”

“Farrah’s first-hand knowledge of Louisiana, our culture and our newsmakers make her a natural fit for our news team,” said WDSU news director Jonathan Shelley. “She’ll draw upon that experience while on the anchor desk and in the field, covering stories that are important to our viewers. We’re looking forward to adding her talents to our newsroom.”
