Facing Tragedy, Anchor Leaves SW Florida’s WINK

Anchor Trey Radel has decided to leave WINK and the television news business entirely. He will stay through the February Nielsen ratings period and then sign off the first week in March.

Radel is leaving to become the executive director of the Florida Prosperity Agenda, a nonpartisan public policy organization promoting fiscal responsibility in Florida government.

“My passion is politics. I love politics,” Radel said. “Debt has thrown this country into a catastrophic mess and I have never felt more compelled than right now to get involved.”
