Executive Producer Mike Liederman Leaving WFLD

After less than a year at Chicago’s WFLD, executive producer Mike Liederman is leaving the station.

“We appreciate all of Mike’s hard work and wish him the best in the future,” Mike Renda, general manager at the Fox O&O, said in a statement.

Liederman joined WFLD in March and was tasked with overseeing the struggling 9 p.m. newscast. Sources say his last day at the station is today. He will be replaced on an interim basis by Phil Landeros, one of the WFLD’s other executive producers.
