Medical examiners have concluded that WMAQ sports anchor Daryl Hawks died of a heart attack.

On May 12th, Hawks, 38, was found unresponsive in a hotel room in Atlanta, where he was covering the Bulls’ playoff series with the Hawks. The initial autopsy performed days after his death was inconclusive.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office announced on Tuesday that it had finally reached a conclusion, stating that additional tests proved Hawks died of a heart attack caused by hypertension.
