Since the launch of ESPN in 1979, SportsCenter has been the network’s flagship program. For the last 35 years, the program has transcended sports, providing highlights, news, commentary and feature stories while dominating American sports television.
Recently MediabistroTV traveled to Bristol, Conn. to capture the process of creating such an iconic sports broadcast.
When we asked show producer Tom DeCorte about dealing with the chaos of producing a one-hour sports show, he gave the one piece of advice every producer, heck, every human, should tape to their foreheads: “Part of it is just being willing to change.”
