Erika Summers Returning to KLKN After 3 Years

By Merrill Knox

KMTV reporter Erika Summers is returning to the last station she worked at: KLKN, the ABC-affiliate in Lincoln, where she will be the morning and midday anchor.

“My last day at KMTV is Friday,” she told TVSpy in an email. “I sure will miss my co-workers here! But I am excited to head back to KLKN.”

The Nebraska native left KLKN for Omaha’s KMTV in 2008. In April, Summers suffered a broken wrist, among other injuries, in a car crash on her way to cover a story for the station.

Summers will start at KLKN on October 19. She replaces Brittany Jeffers, who is joining Tulsa’s KOKI.
