Don Welch will retire from WTVC, the ABC affiliate in Chattanooga, next month. Welch, who has worked at WTVC since 1990, will officially sign off April 23.
Welch is a longtime veteran of local television. He has worked at two other Chattanooga stations, WRCB and WDEF, as well as WTVF in Nashville. “Whether it was drawing on a weather board in the ’70s or hosting ‘This ‘N That’ today, the folks at home graciously invited me to be a part of their day,” Welch said in a statement. “For that, I am very grateful. As I look back, I realize it’s all been good.”
Welch hosts and produces “This ‘N That,” a daily weekday show that airs at 12:30 p.m. Watch his announcement here.
