Detroit Station Re-Launches Morning Show

Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV has announced new hosts, a new time and new format for Live in the D.

The revamped show debuts Monday at 10 a.m. with co-hosts Chuck Gaidica and Tati Amare.

“The show is a relentlessly positive look at Detroit and really all of southeast Michigan,” said Gaidica. “Being part of ‘Live in the D’ was an unexpected but happy opportunity for me to connect with the people of Detroit in a new way and still have time to serve our community.”

Gaidica returns to WDIV after leaving the station in 2014 to be the pastor at a church. Amare is “an award-winning host and producer based out of New York City.”

“Our ability to be live basically from 4:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. allows us to keep viewers updated with valuable news and engaging national and local entertainment content all morning,” said news director Kim Voet.
