Detroit Anchor Helps Ellen DeGeneres Make the Funny

If you watch The Ellen DeGeneres Show regularly, you may have seen the breaking news segments announcing good advice to people in the form of breaking news. You might not know that the man who plays the anchor on TV is also one in real life.

Devin Scillian has worked at Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV since 1995.

The latest batch (in the tweet below) has Scillian telling people to not reply all to that email and that they accidentally left a tissue in the laundry

“You know, I can work for months on a one-hour special about Cuba,” Scillian told TVNewsCheck’s Paul Greeley last January. “and not hear from anybody. But one joke ‘breaking news’ segment and I hear from people I went to middle school with.”
