WOIO anchor David Wittman is out at the Cleveland CBS affiliate.
The Orlando Sentinel reports Wittman’s contract wasn’t renewed.
“There’s no ill will. I liked working there,” said Wittman. “Obviously unless your name’s on the door, you don’t control your fate.”

Wittman said there’s “a very good chance” he’ll move back to Central Florida because he has two children here, a new grandson and a condo in Winter Park.
“It’s where I’d like to end up,” he said. “We’ve been down four times a year recently. We have a soft spot in our hearts for that part of the country.”
Wittman worked at WKMG in Orlando for more than nine years.
