Former KSNV anchor Dan Ball is speaking out on his dismissal from the station, saying the decision not to renew his contract came as a surprise.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported yesterday that Ball’s time at KSNV was “sometimes turbulent.” In an interview published today, Ball acknowledged “some past indiscretions.”
“Sometimes in a newsroom, when things get heated, not everybody has thicker skin than others,” he said. “I’ll leave it at that. I’m not going to cry over spilled milk. They had told me I was a good anchor and a great reporter.”

Ball said he would like to stay in Las Vegas to remain close to his family, but noted he has a one-year noncompete clause in his contract that may force him out of the market.
