Craig Boswell Joins CBS Newspath

craig boswellCraig Boswell has been named a correspondent for CBS Newspath. He will be based in Washington, D.C.

Boswell comes from Fox News Edge, Fox News’ affiliate service, where he has been the Washington, D.C. correspondent since 2007. Before Fox, Boswell worked at WAAY in Hunstville, WTTO in Birmingham and WZTV and WKRN in Nashville.

Boswell reported yesterday for CBS on the man who drove a truck into the WMAR building and barricaded himself inside for several hours.

CRAIG BOSWELL IS NAMED A CORRESPONDENT FOR CBS NEWSPATH

            Craig Boswell has been named a correspondent for CBS Newspath, the Network’s 24-hour television newsgathering service for CBS stations and broadcasters around the world.  He will be based in Washington, D.C., and his appointment is effective immediately.

Prior to joining CBS Newspath, Boswell reported on major events including the Conclave election of Pope Francis, the Boston Marathon bombing, the Republican and Democratic conventions, the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and the Haiti earthquake as a correspondent for Fox NewsEdge. He also served as a fill-in overnight anchor for the Fox News Channel in New York.

Previously, Boswell was an anchor for WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Ala. and was anchor for WTTO-TV in Birmingham, Ala.

Before that, he was an anchor and reporter for WZTV-TV in Nashville, Tenn.  While there, he served as an embedded reporter with the 101st Airborne Division, traveling with U.S. soldiers along the Iraq/Kuwait border.  He began his career in broadcast journalism as a producer at WKRN-TV in Nashville.

Boswell graduated in 1993 from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor of science degree inbroadcast journalism and minors in Spanish and political science.
