Connecticut Anchors Spend More Time with Family for Two Newscasts

By Kevin Eck

Tony Terzi and his father Al Terzi got to do what many in broadcasting can only dream of, they got to spend more time with family without leaving the station.

The two Terzis anchored the 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. news for Connecticut FOX affiliate WTIC yesterday.

The more tenured Terzi wrote about it on his facebook page, “Very exciting for both of us! I think it’s a first for Connecticut television!”

After the Terzi’s tossed to Meteorologist Rachel Frank for her first weather forecast Frank said, “Terzi and Terzi. I love it here today.”

Al later agreed with his son in a tweet the experience was a dream come true.

Al Terzi spent 14 years at Hartford-New Haven, CT, ABC affiliate WTNH and left rival CBS affiliate WFSB after 28 years in 2012.
