Clyde Gray to Return to WCPO After Hip Replacement Surgery

By Kevin Eck

Clyde Gray will be back on the air tomorrow for the WCPO 5 p.m. news.  Gray left the ABC affiliate in September to have hip replacement surgery.

Gray, who has been at the station since 1991, posted the news on his facebook page, saying, “Doctor Shockley gave me the green light. Back tomorrow. Thanks to all of your for your prayers and words of encouragement over the last 6 weeks.”

When he left WCPO, he initially told viewers he had hoped to return to the station a few weeks after leaving. “If things go according to plan, I’ll be back in late October, without the hitch in my get-along.”
