Meteorologist Tom Mahoney has announced he will retire from Green Bay CBS affiliate WFRV in June.
“I’m reaching retirement age,” Mahoney announced this week on WFRV. “I worked out an agreement with management here, and I’m quite happy, actually.”
Mahoney, who says he will be back to fill in on the station as needed, joined WFRV in 1972. He left in 1973 and worked at stations in Oklahoma City and Milwaukee before returning to WFRV in 1982 as chief meteorologist. [h/t NewsBlues]
