Chicago Sports Anchor Mike Adamle Busted for DUI

By Andrew Gauthier

Veteran Chicago sports anchor Mike Adamle is facing DUI charges after a traffic stop early Monday morning.

Police pulled Adamle over after he coasted through a flashing red stoplight, a short time after he appeared on WMAQ‘s “Sports Sunday Live” show.  He was eventually arrested after failing a field sobriety test.

Adamle is a familiar presence in Chicago.  He played for the Bears in the late 70s and was a sports reporter-anchor for WLS from 1983 to ’89.
