Chera Kimiko is joining KJRH as co-anchor of the Tulsa NBC affiliate’s 5 p.m. newscast.
“WOO HOO! Chera Kimiko joins Karen Larsen and Brian Sanders as anchor here at 2 Works for You,” the station wrote on its Facebook page. “Can’t wait to see Chera, Karen, Brian, Brett and Big Al together.”
“I am very excited to be back on air!,” said Kimiko. “I thought I was heading in a different direction but the ‘2 Works for You’ family offered me an incredible opportunity that I couldn’t refuse.”
Her first day at the station will be Monday, November 28. She’ll start working on-air the following week.
Kimiko left KOTV last January. She started her broadcast career at KYMA in Yuma, Az. She’s also worked at KTVK in Phoenix, KCOY in Santa Maria, Calif. and KVBC in Las Vegas.
