Colleen Chen is leaving Oklahoma City’s KWTV to become a morning anchor at KION in Monterey, CA. Chen has been a reporter with CBS-affiliate KWTV since 2008.
“I’m excited to move to a place many call paradise,” Chen said. “I’ve enjoyed my time in Oklahoma and will always have a place in my heart for the wonderful team at News 9.”

Chen, a graduate of the University of Florida, started her career in Gainesville before stops in Savannah, GA, Western Michigan, and finally Oklahoma City, where she was honored by the SPF and Associated Press for her work.
Last week Chen tweeted a photo of her KWTV gear with the message “It’s official. Jacket. Phone. Key Card. All turned in. Goodbye News 9!”
