WCNC morning anchor Ira Cronin is moving to Colorado Springs to anchor the morning show for NBC affiliate KOAA.

According to The Gazette, Cronin and his wife are moving closer to family. Cronin started at WCNC in 2001. He moved to morning anchor four years ago.

“I am excited as well as humbled to have the opportunity to join such a forward thinking, team oriented and community-based television station as KOAA5 and to be a part of the News5 team,” said Cronin. “My family and I are thrilled to now call Southern Colorado our home.”
