Charisse Gibson Makes Her Debut on KSLA Morning News

By Kevin Eck

Charisse Gibson has joined Shreveport, LA, CBS affiliate KSLA as morning anchor.

Gibson made her station debut on Friday’s noon news. She was welcomed on-air to KSLA in a toss to weather during the 5:00 a.m. show. She admitted to co-anchor Doug Warner and meteorologist Ron Young, she had trouble finding the station due to heavy fog. “You’re just learning the city, so…” said Young. “Fog or not, I was about to say,” said Warner. “Charisse, everyone,” introducing Gibson to the viewers. “New to the show. We would expect you to get lost once or twice.”

Gibson comes to KSLA from WLOX in Biloxi, MS, where she was a news producer/reporter/multi-media journalist and fill-in anchor. She has also worked at WDSU and WWL in New Orleans.
