Casey Anthony defense attorney Cheney Mason let the news media know exactly how he felt following the not guilty verdict Tuesday afternoon, raising his middle finger to a group of reporters gathered outside of an Orlando restaurant where he was celebrating the verdict with the rest of the Anthony defense team.
An Associated Press photographer caught Mason’s one-finger salute.
Following the verdict Tuesday, Mason scolded the media in a news conference saying, “Well, I hope that this is a lesson to those of you having indulged in media assassination for three years.”
The middle finger has gotten a surprising amount of play during the Anthony trial. Last week, Central Florida News 13 caught a member of the courtroom audience flipping off prosecutor Jeff Ashton. [h/t WESH]
