Carlos Amezcua joins San Diego independent station KUSI as a morning anchor, tomorrow.
“He is a San Diego native and is finally returning home, after his storied career in Los Angeles,” said KUSI news director Steve Cohen.
Amezcua left Los Angeles Fox-owned station KTTV at the end of 2013 to start his own company. A few months later, he started freelancing for San Diego Fox affiliate KSWB.

Amezcua worked at KTTV from 2007 until 2013. Before that, he was an anchor at KTLA for 16 years.
