Cape Girardeau Stations to Continue Sharing Agreement

Raycom Media’s Cape Girardeau, MO, CBS affiliate KFVS has agreed to keep producing the 9:00 p.m. news for Sinclair Broadcasting’s cross-town FOX affiliate KBSI.

“KFVS12 produces the finest news product in our market.  We are very happy that we will continue to provide news viewer’s the choice of a first-class 9 p.m. newscast during Fox 23’s prime time lineup,” said KBSI general manager Mike Smythe.

This is the fourth year for “Heartland News at Nine” which airs in the Cape Girardeau, Paducah, KY, and Harrisburg, IL, market. The latest agreement runs through September 2016.

“We’re happy to continue our relationship with KBSI,” said KFVS general manager Tim Ingram. “Heartland News is dedicated to being where the viewer needs us to be, whether on your phone, on your tablet, on your computer, or on a different television station at a non-traditional time. We’re proud to partner with KBSI to continue the service.”
