Bryan May Leaves KXTV

Bryan May, who has been a reporter and sports anchor at Sacramento ABC affiliate KXTV for 17 years, will leave the station today.

“It’s been a great ride,” May said on Twitter in a post confirming his exit. In a telephone interview Wednesday, May told the Sacramento Bee he told by management before Christmas that his contract would not be renewed.

“For me, being in the locker room when the San Francisco Giants won three World Series (in 2010, 2012 and 2014) was fantastic,” May said. “I’ve been in the last two NBA Finals with the (Golden State) Warriors. … I’ve covered five Super Bowls and four World Series. I can’t complain about the assignments and what I’ve been able to cover.”
