Brian Sullivan Leaving WVII-WFVX

By Kevin Eck

Brian Sullivan, sports director for WVII-WFVX, will be leaving the Bangor, ME, ABC and Fox affiliates to become the local sports director for Fandom Sports, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Sullivan’s resignation was overshadowed by the dramatic on-air resignation of two of his fellow anchors, Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio, last month.

“I gave my notice on Monday (November 19) and they resigned the next day,” Sullivan told the Daily News.

He said his experience at WVII was the polar opposite of his now notorious co-anchors.  “I have nothing but good things to say about [WVII-WFVX],” Sullivan said. “I made lifelong friends there and I got a lot of hands-on experience.  But this is the right move for me.”

In his new job Sullivan said he will be covering high school games for the local radio station, contributing to Time Warner Cable’s tape-delayed game coverage and adding in some play-by-play, color analyst and sideline reporter work.
