Boston Stations Getting In On the Fun at Patriots Parade

From the Back Bay to City Hall, the World Champion New England Patriots wound their way through chilly Boston today as thousands of fans packed the parade route celebrating the team’s 5th Super Bowl victory in the last 16 seasons.

All of Boston’s local stations carried the parade live. WFXT was in coverage all morning, WCVB and WBZ picked up at 10 a.m. and NBC Boston began coverage at 10:30 for the 11 a.m. parade start time.

WBZ sports director Steve Burton even completed a pass to the MVP:

“Are we live? Are we live?,” shouted defensive back Devin McCourty during WHDH’s coverage. McCourty, a team captain, has said he won’t be attending the White House victory party for the Pats because, “I don’t feel accepted.”
